EHS Manager

Introduction to the position

The CS EHS department supports the safety of the Customer Support (CS) engineers in the field. We do this by making sure the design of the platforms is safe, the tools that are being used are safe and by making sure safety is well embedded in the procedures of the engineers. Next to this, we make sure the engineers have performed all the necessary safety training and that this safety training is of good quality. Last but not least, we increase the safety behavior of the engineers.

You interact with the CS Competence Engineering Departments, the regional CS EHS Teams and the Design and Engineering (D&E) department. Next to this you will make sure the safety requirements for servicing of new platforms are well embedded and you align with D&E and Factory safety competences to set harmonized standards. Scope is CS Worldwide operations at the customer facilities.

Role and Responsibilities

As CS EHS Manager and Expert you will support a wide range of  occupational safety topics, including:

• Define, shape and maintain safety standards for CS on a competence level.

• Strengthening the service mix (parts, tools, procedures, training).

• Identify and prioritize improvements needed for safety in the field.

• Drive the improvements through the ASML improvement process.

• Do occupational safety reviews for specific maintenance actions and repairs.

• Safety review of new and existing procedures. In order to make sure that the procedures are safe to use in the field and cover all safety aspects according the CS safety requirements.

Education and experience

For this position a bachelor or academic degree is required in the field of Safety, Health and Environment. A (non)technical Education but combined with courses and certifications, would also be considered if combined with experience within the EHS field.

• At least 5 years experience as a safety expert in technical environment or similar.

• Strongly preferred: EHS managerial experience

• Strong and all level stakeholder management; 

• Keeping an open view, gather all insights and look for the best opportunity is a required skill;

• Being a teamplayer.

Other information

Willing to travel (5-10%) several times per year (USA, Europe, Asia). In reality this would be approximately 2-3x a year for 1 week.
