Role and ResponsibilitiesAs part of ASML’s Yieldstar SW Platform & Infrastructure Department, you will support the development of software solutions that are instrumental to our lithographic machines. Ensuring reliable operation while maintaining nanometer accuracy and making sure that the system interfaces are consistent and in accordance with the industries high standards. For our customers flawless uninterrupted availability and proper qualification of our software solutions is key. You will be involved throughout all stages of the software development process: specifying, designing, testing and integrating the advanced software for use in our world-leading products.
You will be responsible for the roadmap to drive software faults to zero from a test-based approach. This will consist of several aspects on which you will focus:
Drive the roadmap for test automation, set milestones and priorities, and drive achieving those.
Adapt the test strategy to customer feedback/trends, ASML business priorities and changes to the software design.
Drive the test requirements for CI/CD and help to define the implementation plan.
Be part of the ASML software test community and be a representative of the Wafer Flow group in that community.
Inspire and coach development teams by broadening the perspective on software testing methods.
Align and support with the Functional Cluster Architect to ensure the test roadmap and the functional roadmaps are aligned.
Assists the group lead by performing software quality assessments and report the results in terms of coverage and remaining risks, including proposing improvement actions to the group lead.
Assist projects with risk based testing, FMEA, 5x Why and test result analyses.
Review test-related deliverables, observe automated regression test results, first analysis, follow-up actions, bug advocacy, participate in patch hit analysis.
Master level. Degree in Computer science, Software engineering or similar technical field.
Relevant test related training is a pré (e.g. ISTQB Advanced)
At least 8 years of experience with software development and testing.
A proven track record with testing software.
Being able to explain testing concepts and principles like coverage, product risk, how to analyze a product, exploratory testing and how to provide a good test report.
Experience with test driven development (TDD) and behavioral driven development (BDD).
Experience with methodologies such as Context-Driven Testing, Rapid Software Testing or testing in an Agile context like SAFe with CI (continues integration) /CD (continues deployment).
Experience with legacy software.
Experience with problem solving methodologies & root cause analysis
Knowledge/experience of C#.
Knowledge of Bamboo, Jira, unit testing is a pré.

This position is within the Yieldstar SW Platform & Infrastructure department, which is a part of the sector Development & Engineering (D&E). The related system function is responsible for the design, implementation and maintenance of software for metrology systems that deliver the platform to enable nanometer-level measurements. Ensuring that the existing behavior of the system remains as is, while introducing new functionality is a key competence in this position.
This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the United States Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require ASML to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.
