As our organization continues to expand, we are seeking an Installation and Startup Specialist to join the team.

Key responsibilities- What will you do?

CPM Europe's sales operations encompass the production, delivery, commissioning, and servicing of various types of industrial machinery, with clients spread across the globe. As a result, many of our sales and service personnel regularly work abroad.

In the role of Installation and Startup Specialist, you will oversee the installation and startup processes of CPM equipment and systems at customer locations. You will coordinate activities on-site, troubleshoot issues during the startup phase, and transfer operational and maintenance knowledge of CPM machines to the client's team.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Frequent international travel to client industrial sites to inspect installations and commission machinery within production lines.
• Ensuring equipment is properly installed and conducting mechanical, electrical, and control system tests according to CPM installation guidelines (You wont do the installation, but rather control that it is done well)
• Ensuring contractual obligations are met to guarantee the safe and efficient operation of CPM equipment, achieving agreed production targets and product quality.
• Documenting machinery details using company checklists and procedures during installation and testing.
• Identifying and resolving issues during the setup of the production line and preparing detailed progress reports.
• Participating in site project meetings and completing reports, as well as handover protocols.
• Reviewing installation work using diagrams, electrical schematics, and process documentation for CPM machines or the full production line.
• Confirming the availability of necessary spare parts, machinery, tools, and customer-provided fittings.
• Verifying the correct assembly and installation of all connections and systems for the machine or production line.
• Delegating tasks to customer technicians or workers on-site when needed.
• Starting up and conducting test runs of machinery or production lines, including capacity testing when required.
• Addressing problems during installation and startup testing, troubleshooting issues with available resources on-site.

• HBO or a diploma in a mechanically-related discipline, with at least 2 years of relevant work experience.
• Proficiency in one or more European languages as your native tongue, with a strong command of English, is essential.
• A solid mechanical mindset with relevant mechanical education, alongside foundational knowledge of industrial electrical installations and control systems.
• Hands-on experience with the operation and maintenance of heavy industrial machinery, combined with basic understanding of electric motor drives and electrical control systems, is necessary.
• The ability to interpret operational and maintenance manuals, as well as mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic diagrams.
• Experience with different types of mechanical gearboxes and their associated systems (such as electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical engineering) used in the machinery.
• Effective communication skills for working with clients and internal teams to achieve successful outcomes for all involved.
• Understanding the client's production process to ensure optimal machine performance and having a solid grasp of materials to analyze and resolve any issues or malfunctions.
• Competence in systematically diagnosing and addressing problems as they arise.
• Familiarity with ARBO (safety, health, and welfare), environmental regulations, and the Working Hours Act for ensuring safe practices in industrial settings.
• The ability to take all necessary safety measures.
• As most of the work will be conducted at customer sites, you should be comfortable with frequent international travel (within Europe).
• Ability to work independently in multinational industrial environments, overcoming any language or cultural barriers.
• Applicants must already have the right to live and work in Northern Europe, as CPM will not be offering visa sponsorship for this position
